N.B Your attention is particularly drawn to the importance of the Declaration and signature on Insurers proposal forms. Any failure to disclose facts material to the insurance or any inaccuracies in the answers could result in claims not being paid or the Policy being voided.

In the majority of cases professional liability insurances cannot be cancelled by the policy holder. Policy cancellation and premium returns will only be granted by the Insurer in exceptional circumstances subject to:-
1) The satisfactory receipt of a written explanation for the cancellation request.
2) The payment of a £100 cancellation administration fee.
Any agreed return premium will be calculated on a short rate basis and will be subject to the deduction of the £100 cancellation administration fee prior to settlement.

If you cannot settle your complaint to your satisfaction, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2000.00 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit.
